In Matthew 25, Jesus teaches us that we are to feed the hungry. We take that command very seriously. We are so grateful for the opportunities we have to feed our community each week.
Jarrett Terrace Ministry
Each Saturday, members of West Charleston gather at the church building to make 75 sack lunches for our friends and neighbors at Jarrett Terrace, a high-rise public housing project three blocks from our building. This is the longest ongoing ministry of our church.
We pack the lunches, then carry them to Jarrett Terrace, where we deliver them door-to-door. Many of the residents are served by Meals On Wheels on weekdays, but are on their own on the weekends. The lunches we provide help them get through the weekend, and gives us a chance to reach out in a practical way to our neighbors.
We have seen God work in many lives through this ministry since we began in September of 1997.

Wednesday Night Supper
You are invited each Wednesday evening at 5:00 p.m. for a free meal with our church family. We enjoy good food and loving fellowship around the tables, followed by prayer and praise! Please join us.
Food Co-Op
Our Food Co-Op ministry provides a food package in exchange for 2 hours of work in our building. Volunteers come to the church building at 11:00 a.m. on Thursdays and stay until 1:00 p.m.
This ministry provides help for our neighbors and help for us. Since we cannot afford to pay a custodian for our building, the work of our co-op volunteers helps to maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance. The food package helps our neighbors stretch their food budget to the end of the month.
Anyone who has a food need may come to Co-Op once every 4 weeks. There are no income guidelines. Participants need to bring a photo i.d. and proof of address.
